INTRO TO CANVAS WORKBOOK

When Virginia Tech made the decision to switch learning management systems (LMS) to Canvas, it represented a major transition for faculty. To facilitate effective adoption of the new platform, I developed a workbook to be distributed to all instructors. The comprehensive guide served a self-paced Canvas primer focused on the key tools and functions faculty would need to master. The content and visual layout focused on simplifying the transition for users of all skill levels.

Key sections included Canvas basic setup, interaction, and assessments. Step-by-step instructions, screenshots, and tips were included to reinforce real-world application. The printable and downloadable workbook enabled faculty to learn Canvas anywhere at their own pace. It also served as a supplemental resource for the live training sessions. Feedback surveys indicated the easily digestable guide was invaluable in getting instructors up to speed quickly on Canvas.
